What to Expect

I will begin by obtaining a brief background on your horse which includes different aspects of their life such as workload, living situation, diet, any issues they are having etc. Next, I will assess your horse’s movement and posture to look for different areas of tension and restriction. At this point I will be ready to start working with your horse preferably in a calm and quiet area that is free of distractions. I typically work alone in the stall with your horse (no holder necessary), but if they are more comfortable elsewhere, please let me know. During the session I will address the entire body as one integrated being, and will focus on the areas of tension and restriction as they are found. Techniques such as myofascial release, craniosacral therapy, and neuromuscular re-education are used to restore natural posture and increase balance and functionality in your horse’s body.

Sessions typically last around 1.5 hours, and I generally recommend 1-2 days off for your horse after a bodywork session to allow their body time to adjust to changes that were made.

Bodywork sessions may also be paired with PEMF in a combo session, which yields more effective and efficient results!
